Luhkewin Inc. was founded in Oromocto, New Brunswick, otherwise known as Welamukotuk in the wolastoqey language. The word Luhkewin is pronounced “Lou-Gowin” and means worker. Luhkewin inc. comes from a demand to build capacity and match key infrastructure and environmental engineering projects to an underrepresented labour force from local First Nations communities. Luhkewin inc was built 'for us, by us' with the next seven generations in mind. Offering partnership through environmental protections and creating meaningful employment for local families in a land based field. We aim to reconnect people with purpose for lasting positive outcomes.

Ron Jenkins - Environmental Professional

Hi, I'm Ron Jenkins.  I have 30 years in the natural channel design business providing unorthodox solutions to environmental issues. From managing small scale to multi million dollar projects, I have discovered the ultimate client is still the river. I partnered with Luhkewin Inc. to be part of building capacity among Indigenous communities in the environmental sector.
